TotalEnergies Gas. First Look, Limitless Energy.

On Friday 10th May 2024, TotalEnergies Marketing Tanzania Limited revealed the new product, TotalEnergies Gas with the ambition to foster clean cooking in Tanzania. The event was held at TotalEnergies East Oyster Bay Service Station and was officiated by the affiliate’s Managing Director Mamadou Ngom, the management team, and employees from different departments where clients got the chance to have the first look and feel of the TotalEnergies gas cylinders for Tanzania market.

Speaking during the event, the Managing Director, Mamadou Ngom addressed that; “This launch is timely, as we are going along with the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Honorable Samia Suluhu Hassan’s 10 years strategy for clean cooking that was launched on May 9th with the goal of having 80% of Tanzania’s population using clean cooking. With the goal, TotalEnergies Marketing Tanzania Ltd aims to reach 3M people by investing $50M over the same period.”

The first reveal of the cylinders was done by the Managing Director; Mamadou Ngom and the General Trade and Specialties Director Gilles Demma where the 1st batch of 5000 cylinders has arrived in Dar Es Salaam and 240,000 cylinders will be received by August 2024.

The first handover of the LPG product was done by handing over a gas cylinder to East Oysterbay Service station manager, Norah Mgawa as a symbol of revealing the product to the market. During the handover, the General Trade and Specialties Director, Gilles Demma commented that, “This is an exciting addition of TotalEnergies product and services to the Tanzanian market and we are already receiving positive response and expectations from our customers that makes us thrilled to push for it striving excellence in the market.”
