Excellium, the fuel that cleans your engine km after km

FIND A STATION EXCELLIUM

THE FUEL THAT CLEANS
YOUR ENGINE KM AFTER KM

AS YOU DRIVE,
YOUR ENGINE GETS DIRTIER

Deposits, mostly caused by combustion, accumulate with every kilometre you drive. Today’s compact, sophisticated modern engines are even more susceptible to this problem.

As a result, these are the negative outcomes:
• Higher fuel consumption
• Higher CO2 emissions
• Lower engine power
• Less driving comfort

AN ARMY OF ADDITIVES
TO CARE FOR YOUR ENGINE

EXCELLIUM fuels stand apart for their selection of performance additives, added in exactly the right amounts. Each additive has a specific function. Working together, they fight dirt and help to protect your engine.

DETERGENT ACTION

prevents clogging by eliminating deposits that affect engine performance

ANTI-CORROSION PROTECTION

fights against rust and protects metal components from corrosion

DE-EMULSIFIER

protects fuel in the case of water exposure

TO GO FURTHER

GET RIGHT TO THE HEART OF YOUR ENGINE
DISCOVER EXCELLIUM IN ACTION

During fuel combustion, not all molecules are completely burned, and some residue is left behind. It forms deposits on essential engine components and combustion becomes less efficient as a result.

The additives in EXCELLIUM clean these deposits to allow more complete and efficient fuel combustion. It works on several engine components, and particularly on the injection system.

Gasoline engines

By keeping the injection system (inlet valves and injectors) clean, it ensures excellent quality of the air/fuel mixture, which helps to maintain the engine’s performance throughout its lifetime.

Impact on inlet valves

EXCELLIUM prevents up to 93 % (1) of fouling of inlet valves in indirect injection engines. It helps to keep the inlet system clear and cleans up to 24 % (1) of existing fouling on the inlet valves.

Diesel engines

The injectors are key components of Diesel engines. Their role is to spray the fuel into the combustion chamber through tiny holes (less than 200 microns, or 0.2 mm, in diameter). At this scale, any accumulation of residue affects the quality of fuel consumption. This means that the injectors must remain clean throughout the vehicle’s lifetime to ensure the long-term performance of the engine.

Impact on injectors

EXCELLIUM helps to maintain engine performance over time by protecting the injector from all types of deposits, internal and external. It prevents up to 93% (2) of external fouling of the injector nozzles and cleans up to 68% (2) of existing fouling from the second fill. It can restore the engine to its original performance in only six hours (3).

*EXCELLIUM prevents up to 93% of fouling in gasoline engines and 89% in diesel engines and cleans up to 36% of existing build-up in diesel engines and 24% in gasoline engines, in comparison to a nonspecifically additivated fuel. Tests conducted by an independent body.
(1). In comparison with a non-specifically additivated fuel. Tests performed on an indirect injection engine on a test bench as per reference method CEC F-05-93. Results may vary according to vehicle type.
(2). In comparison with a non-specifically additivated fuel. Tests performed as per reference methods CEC F-23-A-01. Results may vary according to vehicle type.
(3). In comparison with a non-specifically additivated fuel. Test performed on a direct injection engine on a test bench as per reference method CEC F-98-08. Results may vary according to type of engine.
