TotalEnergies Marketing Tanzania Limited, in partnership with TotalEnergies Foundation and implementing partner Nafasi Art Space, celebrated the winners of the 2025 VIA Creative Road Safety Program, marking a major milestone in inclusive education and community impact.
Since its inception, VIA has reached over 32,000 students across Tanzania, cultivating 320 Road Safety Ambassadors. This year alone, the program directly impacted 10,000 students from seven schools, including a special needs school for deaf students and a secondary school, reinforcing its commitment to inclusivity.
The VIA program goes beyond awareness, it transforms ideas into action. In 2024, a student proposed safety measure led to the construction of a protective wall at Makuburi Primary School. In 2025, Buguruni Primary Deaf School’s recommendation for road signage near their campus will be implemented, ensuring safer environments for vulnerable learners.
Impact Highlights:
Buguruni Primary Deaf School emerged as the top winner and will represent Tanzania at the regional level, with a chance to advance to the international stage and win a trip to Paris.
Speaking during the award event, TotalEnergies Marketing Tanzania Limited Managing Director, Mamadou Ngom highlighted the program’s far-reaching impact, “At TotalEnergies, we are proud to be part of this transformative journey. By investing in education and awareness, we are shaping a safer future for our children and communities,” emphasized Mamadou Ngom,
